PROVETHE PROPLAIN-LANGUAGE POLICIES

PRIVACY POLICY

Private documents stay tied to one check.

We collect what is needed to verify one contractor for one project. We do not sell personal information or use uploaded documents for advertising.

What we collect

We collect homeowner contact details, project address, contractor contact and claimed license information, project type and amounts, notes, uploaded estimates and insurance certificates, service confirmations, payment references, source findings, communications, and report events. Our payment provider handles full card details; we do not store them.

Aggregate site measurement

We count public-page views and key funnel actions in daily aggregate buckets by page and campaign label. These measurement records do not contain cookies, IP addresses, user agents, names, email addresses, project details, or form contents.

How we use it

We use the information to validate the request, take payment, review authorization, inspect submitted claims, query relevant sources, request proof, create the report, send updates, prevent abuse, issue refunds, resolve service problems, and understand which public resources help people reach the service.

Who receives it

We share only what is needed with hosting, storage, payment, and email providers. If authorized, we may share the homeowner name, project address, contractor identity, and proof request with the contractor or listed insurance agency. Public authorities receive information only when legally required.

Files, replies, and private links

Uploads and supported attachments received through a case-specific reply address are stored privately and are available only to authorized operations. The customer report does not expose the project street address, original documents, reply body, or inbound attachments. Report URLs are long bearer links; anyone who receives one may be able to view it, so keep it private.

Retention and requests

We retain case records only as reasonably needed for delivery, disputes, accounting, legal duties, and abuse prevention. Request access, correction, or deletion by emailing from the purchase address with the check ID. Some payment or legal records may need to be retained after other content is deleted.
